In the last ten years Jack has specialized in publishing full-length biographies and memoirs of successful and fascinating people. Subject to availability, he is interested in writing more biographies of high-profile individuals whose success stories deserve to be shared with wide regional audiences and friends and future generations of their families.

These books, which usually run over 300 pages and require as many as 40 to 50 interviews with principal players in the subject's life, are written with a balanced viewpoint and an elegant style which has won Sheehan many regional and national awards, including the Lowell Thomas Award for Outstanding Travel Writing in the U.S., the Nevada Screenwriters Award for Outstanding Screenplay, and a journalists' society award as Best Feature Writer in the Western U.S.

Time frame from start to finish of these books usually ranges from 14 to 24 months, and Sheehan personally conducts all interviews, writes every word, and negotiates publishing bids and marketing agreements.  Memoirs  typically require between two and six months to write and  run between  $25-$50,000 (exclusive of printing costs). Full-length  biographies take  between 12 and 18 months and run into the low six figures.
